The Colorado National Guard arrived in Jefferson County on Saturday, 9/14, to help with flooding relief. A highwater vehicle filled with sandbags left Arvada around noon and headed to Upper Bear Creek Road above Evergreen where overflow was threatening several homes. After sandbags were unloaded and placed at the first residence some were loaded onto another truck and taken to an adjoining neighbor’s property.
